For growing families

It’s 3 a.m., the baby finally fell asleep, and you’re doing the math.

If something happened to me, would they be okay? A coverage review gives you a clear place to start.

How much coverage do we need?

Start with the mortgage, about ten years of income, childcare until school starts, and something toward college. For most working parents we help, that adds up to $500,000 to $1.5 million for each parent.

A stay-at-home parent needs coverage too. Childcare, driving, and running the house cost real money to replace, so we usually suggest $250,000 to $500,000.

How long should it last?

A 20- or 25-year term usually covers the years your children depend on you. We’ll walk through what changes when the term ends and show you options from several companies side by side.

What does it cost?

A healthy 30-year-old who does not smoke can often get $500,000 of 20-year term life for about $20 to $30 a month. Your quote depends on your health and details, and we make the comparisons easy to understand.

What applying looks like

01

A 20-minute phone call

We ask health questions and learn what you are protecting.

02

Simple underwriting

Many healthy parents under 50 are approved without an exam. Others have a short exam at home.

03

Coverage begins

Most policies start in 2 to 6 weeks.

Who receives the money?

A baby cannot receive life insurance money directly. We explain the choices, including a trust or a custodian, and recommend speaking with an attorney about a will at the same time.
